Notes are broken up into three stages; top notes, middle (or heart) notes, and base notes.

Top Notes

The first scent a person experiences when spraying the fragrance, it’s also the initial impression a person gets when selecting. This scent is usually sharp and often evaporates quickly.

Mid Notes

This note is the scent that follows the top notes. It is the main body of the fragrance and this will usually emerge a few minutes to up to an hour after applying a fragrance.

Base Notes

The final stage and will be the with the wearer the longest. Often these scents come about before the mid notes have completely evaporated, so the mix of mid and base are the main scent of the perfume. Base notes take the longest to disappear and can last even a day after application.
